Understanding the financial commitment involved in pursuing a career in aviation, Wanaka Helicopters offers scholarships to candidates. These scholarships are designed to support students who demonstrate exceptional dedication, passion, and potential in the field of aviation. By offering financial assistance, we aim to make quality aviation education more accessible to talented individuals who might otherwise face financial barriers.
In 2026 Wanaka Helicopters is able to offer one $10,000 helicopter scholarship and one $4,000 aeroplane scholarship to selected New Zealand Maori or Pasifika heritage candidates. As well as, one $5,000 helicopter scholarship and one $2,000 aeroplane scholarship to female candidates. We also encourage Upper Clutha residents to apply for the Allen Hogan Scholarship ($4,000 helicopter, $4000 aeroplane and $4000 for students to add skills to their current licence) as well as the Pauwel Scholarship for NZ Citizens; for details visit pauwelsflyingscholarhip.co.nz.
