Mountain flying is our specialty, we fly in and around the Southern Alps on a daily basis. Fly with us to explore two of New Zealand’s most spectacular peaks. What better way to explore these incredible mountains than by helicopter… check out some interesting facts on each mountain below: 

Mount Aspiring 

  • Also known as Tititea or ‘Glistening Peak’ 
  • Height of 3,033m or 9,951ft 
  • Surrounded by three large glacier formations
  • Situated in Mount Aspiring National Park in Otago
  • The first ascent was on 23 November 1909
  • Scenic flight 1 hour return by helicopter from Wanaka Airport 
  • Scenic highlights include: Isobel glacier, ancient forest, Lake Wanaka

Mount Cook 

  • Also known as Aoraki 
  • Highest mountain in New Zealand 
  • Height of 3,724m or 12,218ft
  • Consists of three summits Low Peak (3,593m), Middle Peak (3,717m) and High Peak
  • Situated in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park in Canterbury
  • The first known ascent was on 25 December 1894
  • Scenic flight 2.5 hours return by helicopter from Wanaka Airport 
  • Scenic highlights include: Fox, Franz Josef and Tasman glaciers, Lake Hawea
